Here at B & B there is nothing we love more than to enrich and love your pet which is why an “almost” slumber pawty could be the perfect solution to your travel needs. This service takes the boarding schedule from the local Taj Mahal of veterinary care and improves upon that structure.
What can I expect for my pet during an almost slumber pawty?

A sample day includes the following:
Your pet starts their day with us between 6:30 - 8:30 am, where our dedicated team gives any medications and supplements along with breakfast. This is usually done in a 45-60 minute block, with playtime or a walk following.
A midafternoon “lunch” visit for another round of snuggles, playtime, or a walk is done in a block of 45-60 minutes.
For dinner we arrive between 5-7 pm, give any necessary medications followed with their meal, a walk or another enrichment activity.
Between 9-10 pm we return for a shorter potty break and bedtime snuggle.

*Two 20-minute walks per day are included in the price. If you would like to add an additional walk, please let us know when booking so that we may schedule and bill accordingly.

A basic slumber pawty with B & B includes several visits throughout the day, two 20-minute walks, and us staying overnight in your home. Due to our daily client schedule, we generally rotate in and out of your home in five-to-six-hour time blocks.

This service is incredibly popular and books quickly. There are 14 total nights a month available for booking, and once those are filled, we open a cancellation list. 98% of our client’s pets will be able to benefit from an almost slumber pawty, which is a fantastic alternative to this traditional service.

Does your pet need a little extra attention? If so, a live in slumber pawty may be the perfect solution.

For a live in slumber pawty your pet will only be left unattended for two hours per day. Two walks are included in this service rate and scheduled two-hour blocks will be approved by the owner before their departure.

*This service is offered Friday afternoons through Monday morning at 8 am only, and extremely limited in availability.

By now I am sure you have all read, or heard, about the dog virus that is sweeping the nation. Monday November 27, 2023, I spent two hours on the phone with vets and representatives from Ohio State, MedVet Dayton, MedVet Columbus, Dixie Veterinary and Tipp City Veterinary Hospital getting their expert opinions on what steps are needed to safeguard your pets. Based on the conversations I had, effective immediately the new protocols for B & B are as follows:

• If your pet(s) are walkers’ they will be limited to their immediate neighborhood, with no exploring unfamiliar areas. To get their sniffs in we will head to your backyard after our walk since that area is generally deemed “safe”. If you are in an apartment complex or do not have sidewalks in your neighborhood all visits can be converted to play dates.

• While we never take dogs to the dog park, some of you have utilized the adventure hike option- until we learn more about the transmission of this virus all adventure hikes are halted immediately. We will explore their immediate neighborhood during our time together instead.

• B&B supplies puzzles, lick mats, and snuffle mats that are always cleaned and sanitized between clients, but that is now on hold. If you would like your dog to have that activity during our time together, please be sure to supply those to ensure there is no cross contamination. Chewy, Amazon, R Pets in Tipp City, and Petco Troy all have great options.

• To ensure minimal exposure to all pets B&B will be sanitizing all shoes, jackets, clothing worn, and fanny packs used for walks between clients. Please ensure you have soap available for us to use so that we may wash our hands during all visit types. We use hand sanitizer on walks, but nothing beats good old-fashioned soap and water.

Understandably we are all concerned about our beloved companion’s health and safety, which is why I have used the guidance from the above-named clinics to create these protocols. Ensuring your pet’s health, safety, and happiness is always our goal and when new information is available, we will update as needed.
